Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Daina participated in the 115th ministerial council meeting of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), held in Kuwait.
Commending the role of the organisation in enhancing economic activities and programmes, Dr Bin Daina said, “These aim to unify efforts to secure energy and create suitable conditions to promote investment in the development of the energy and petroleum sectors in Arab countries.”
He also highlighted its role in establishing and strengthening relations between petroleum-producing and consuming countries, contributing to a sustainable energy future.
The Oil Minister emphasised that such important meetings between senior officials in this sector allow for the exchange of views and scientific proposals, and for discussing the best solutions and modern technologies.
“Such efforts help achieve positive outcomes for the oil and gas sector, support the economies of member states, and fulfil the objectives of the organisation’s founding agreement of 1968, including exchanging information and expertise and implementing joint projects across all aspects of the oil and gas industry.
