ENDURANCE HORSERACING – The Bahrain Royal Equestrian And Endurance Federation (Breef) will hold the National Day Endurance Championship from today to Saturday at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, coinciding with Bahrain’s National Day and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
The event will feature local and international races over distances from 40 kilometres to 120km.
Breef president Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa said the championship celebrates national pride, highlights the development of endurance riding, and reinforces values of loyalty and belonging.
He added that the federation will ensure the event meets the highest organisational standards and wished all participants success.
The championship programme over three days is as follows:
Today: Veterinary checks for horses participating in local races (100km and 80km) and international races (100km and 120km).
Tomorrow: Start of the 120km international race, 100km international race, 100km local race, and 80km local race.
Saturday: 120km local race and 40km local qualifying race, followed by the award ceremony for the 120km National Day race winners.
