MMA – PHIL Campbell has been voted Commentator of the Year at the Energised Irish Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Awards, presented by the Energised Show, a rapidly growing combat sports podcast in Ireland.
The recognition highlights Campbell’s impact as one of the most trusted and influential voices in the sport today.
“It’s a huge honour and something I don’t take lightly,” Campbell stated. “Commentary is about serving the fighters and the fans. With BRAVE CF, I get to work with world-class athletes, and my job is to tell their stories accurately while explaining what’s really happening inside the cage.”
A lead commentator for BRAVE Combat Federation, Campbell has become a defining voice in the promotion’s premium live events.
He delivers sharp technical analysis with calm authority, helping fans understand elite-level MMA while enhancing the drama of each bout.
BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid praised Campbell’s role in shaping the organisation’s worldwide presentation.

Born and raised in Larne, County Antrim, Campbell brings rare credibility to the microphone. He competed at the highest levels of combat sports before transitioning into commentary, winning titles as an Irish national MMA champion and an Irish national bare-knuckle boxing champion.
Campbell will return to the broadcast booth for BRAVE CF 104 on February 14 at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, Serbia.
