A 23-year-old man has been killed in a horror highway crash in Bahrain early this morning.
Another person travelling in the same vehicle was injured and has been taken to hospital.
The vehicle overturned on Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway towards the King Fahd Causeway, the Interior Ministry confirmed on X.
No other vehicles were involved and investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
“Relevant authorities are taking the necessary action at the site,” the Interior Ministry said.
Police and other emergency services attended the scene and traffic was managed as medics worked to help those involved.
Motorists have been urged to exercise caution, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours, and to adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations.
Social media posts suggest the young man who died was a Bahraini from Budaiya.
