Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) president Jennifer Miskimins visited Bahrain to review the local section’s technical programmes and its role in regional energy dialogue.
Ms Miskimins met Bapco Upstream chairman Faisal Al Mahroos and the SPE Bahrain board to discuss industry collaboration and academic engagement.
During the visit, she toured the Bahrain Field, the Bahrain Oil Museum, and Well No. 1 to assess the kingdom’s operational history and current energy infrastructure.
The visit included a stop at the University of Bahrain to promote industry-academic partnerships for engineering students.
SPE Bahrain president Abdulla AlThawadi confirmed that Ms Miskimins has been invited to the section’s Silver Jubilee celebration in April, marking 25 years since its establishment.
