His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the long-standing relations between Bahrain and Qatar.
He also underscored the shared commitment to further advancing the partnership to create opportunities that benefit both countries and realise common aspirations.
Avenues to advance co-operation across sectors and issues of common interest were discussed as HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister met the Amir, Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as part of his visit to Qatar yesterday.
He conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad to the Amir, along with his best wishes for Qatar’s continued progress and prosperity.
Shaikh Tamim conveyed his greetings to the King and expressed his wishes for Bahrain’s continued growth and prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman and the Amir exchanged greetings on the advent of Ramadan, and wished peace upon the Arab and Islamic nations.
He attended a lunch banquet hosted by Shaikh Tamim in his honour.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was accompanied by a delegation which included Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shura Council and Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain, Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Works Minister Ibrahim Al Hawaj, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Nawaf Al Maawda, Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi and senior officials.
He later returned to Bahrain and was seen off by Deputy Amir Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and senior officials.
