Eight individuals – whose ages and nationalities were not disclosed by authorities – have been remanded in custody for allegedly possessing expired foodstuffs and engaging in their distribution and sale after altering and falsifying the expiry dates.
The Public Prosecution announced that investigations into the incident are underway, and that the company’s warehouse, along with several of its affiliated retail outlets, has been seized as part of the ongoing inquiry .
