Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday visited the General Directorate of Civil Defence to review security readiness and efficiency in dealing with the repercussions of the Iranian aggression targeting Bahrain, contributing to the development of work mechanisms to confront such emergency circumstances and strengthen civil protection.
Gen Shaikh Rashid conveyed to Civil Defence personnel the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, for their professional efforts in handling fires and incidents caused by the Iranian aggression against citizens, residents, infrastructure and civilian targets.
He highlighted that the high-level response of Civil Defence personnel, including officers, non-commissioned officers, other ranks and volunteers, and their dedication to strengthening civil protection, is clearly appreciated by the community and reflects a strong level of preparedness.
He said that serving Bahrain under these circumstances represents a significant responsibility, which requires dedication and professionalism, affirming that Bahrain’s police have consistently demonstrated the trust placed in them, performing their duties around the clock, in both routine and challenging situations.
