His Majesty King Hamad yesterday met UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
They reviewed the latest regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
His Majesty expressed his pleasure at meeting the UAE leadership, noting that such meetings reflect the deep, longstanding and historical ties between the two countries, underpinned by strong bonds, steadfast positions and continued support extended by the UAE to Bahrain and its people.
The King affirmed that these meetings, marked by constructive dialogue and consultation, provide an opportunity to convey the greetings of the people of Bahrain to the people in the UAE, and to express their appreciation for the UAE’s consistent solidarity and support in all circumstances, particularly in times of adversity. This approach, His Majesty noted, is consistently upheld and reinforced by Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He also referred to the UAE’s longstanding positions over the years, noting that the spirit of mutual respect and support draws on the foundations laid by earlier generations, and will continue to guide future co-operation.
The King expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the UAE President for the generous hospitality, wishing the UAE continued progress, security and prosperity.
