Unstable weather conditions, including thundery showers and strong gusts, are expected to continue throughout the week, with tankers deployed across the kingdom to collect accumulated rainwater.
According to the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry’s Meteorological Directorate, the rainy weather that began yesterday morning will persist today.
Temperatures are forecast to range between 19C and 29C, with strong southeasterly winds of around 18 knots and occasional gusts reaching up to 30 knots.
Similar conditions are anticipated tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.
Authorities are urging motorists to drive cautiously and take necessary precautions due to reduced visibility on the roads.
Meanwhile, the Works Ministry announced on social media that tankers have already been dispatched to collect rainwater at several locations, including Zallaq Highway, the Capital Governorate, Hamad Town, Al Fateh Highway, Riffa and other affected areas.
People are being urged to call the Works Ministry at 17545544 to report excessive rainfall on main roads and highways.
