HANDBALL – AL Ettihad lifted the President’s Cup in the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League following a hard-earned 31-28 victory over Al Dair in the mini tournament’s final, played at the Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
After the match, Ettihad were awarded the trophy by BHF first five-president Dr Khaled Al Haidan.
The President’s Cup was the lower-tier competition in the Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League, contested between the teams that finished fifth through eighth during the regular season.
Ettihad and Dair were joined in the event by Al Tadhamun and Tubli. The stage is now set for this campaign’s Golden Square semi-finals for the overall title, which will see defending champions and number one seeds Al Najma take on fourth seeds Barbar, and Al Shabab battle Al Ahli in an exciting match-up between the second and third seeds, respectively.
Both Golden Square head-to-heads will be played in best-of-three format, with the winners moving on to clash in a single-game title-decider.
