BOWLING – DEFENDING champions Riffa kick started their title-defence in this year’s Bahrain Bowling League with an impressive 8-0 (2,589-2,111) victory over Al Hala at Funland Centre’s lanes.
Their head-to-head was one of four matches in the first week of action.
In other contests, Bahrain Club beat Isa Town 8-0 (2,577-2,065), Um Al Hassam outclassed Al Ettifaq 8-0 (2,316-1,847), and Sanad overcame a tough challenge from Busaiteen 6-2 (2,156-2,151).
Following those results, Riffa climbed to the top of the standings based on their total pinfalls.
The league is organised and run by the Bahrain Bowling Federation.
