Solidarity Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain and a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding, announced the latest edition of its annual ‘Support Local’ initiative aimed at supporting Bahraini micro and small enterprises impacted by the current regional developments.
Since its inception, the ‘Support Local’ initiative has continued to evolve in response to emerging economic and social needs. The initiative is designed to align with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and national efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support economic stability and strengthen resilience across sectors.
The support package includes a BD1,000 cash award for one winning business, along with a BD100 voucher awarded to one participant submitting a nomination. The winning business will also benefit from promotional placement on Solidarity Bahrain’s application, Solidarity Drive, offering sustained visibility and market exposure.
The ‘Support Local’ initiative is open to Bahraini-owned businesses holding a valid Commercial Registration (CR), with nominations accepted through Solidarity Bahrain’s official social media platform. Submissions will be reviewed in accordance with the programme’s eligibility criteria.
Commenting on the initiative, Solidarity Bahrain’s deputy chief executive for corporate support Amer Janahi said: “We greatly value the continued national efforts, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to reinforce economic stability and support the kingdom’s development priorities. Bahraini businesses have consistently demonstrated determination, even during the most challenging circumstances, and through ‘Support Local’, we aim to shine a spotlight on some of the most deserving of these companies.”
The ‘Support Local’ initiative forms part of Solidarity Bahrain’s broader CSR commitment to helping the communities and businesses it serves across the kingdom, as the company continues to offer a comprehensive portfolio of insurance products and services to individuals and corporates alike.
