Certificates were presented to two senior officers at Hidd Police station in recognition of their efforts in arresting six individuals allegedly involved in an illegal rooster fight.
The arrests followed a complaint lodged last month by Bahrain Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) chairman Mahmood Faraj.
The incident occured in Arad, where several birds were found injured after being forced to fight in an enclosed space.
Mr Faraj thanked Hidd Police Station chief Colonel Dr Osama Bahar and Major Mohammed Al Sharif for their swift action, praising their role in apprehending the suspects and initiating legal proceedings.
He also commended the strong co-operation between civil society organisations and government authorities, noting that such collaboration helps raise public awareness, promote respect for the law, and uphold the values of Bahraini society.
