Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command stated that Iran continued its systematic hostile approach through its criminal missile and drone attacks targeting civilians in Bahrain.
It confirmed that the BDF air defence systems succeeded in intercepting and destroying Iranian aerial attacks.
The Interior Ministry confirmed that the Iranian assault on Bahrain early yesterday targeted residential areas and the kingdom’s infrastructure, resulting in the injury of an 11-year-old girl, who received treatment at the scene.
The ministry stated that many vehicles caught fire in the attack, which also caused damage to several homes in Hamad Town and the capital city Manama.
The Civil Defence and National Ambulance took necessary measures to promote civil protection and public safety for citizens and residents in the kingdom, it added.
Arab and international condemnations continued over the ongoing Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, describing them as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these countries and a grave escalation that jeopardises regional security and stability.
