THE second edition of the International Sports and Security Exhibition (ISSE) was inaugurated yesterday at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The three-day event is being held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
It is organised by the GSA and the Bahrain Shooting Federation (BSF), under the supervision of Diplomatic Protocol Communications.
The opening ceremony was attended by GSA vice-chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa; Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa; Ministry of Labour undersecretary and BSF president Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa; Asian Shooting Federation honorary president Shaikh Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa; Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi; GSA CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar; deputy police chief Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa; Interior Ministry inspector general Major-General Abdullah Mohammed Al Zayed; and Diplomatic Protocol Communications founder Janez Lotrec; along with a number of senior officials, security and military leaders, senior officers, and representatives of governmental and private entities and diplomatic missions.
The attendees toured the exhibition pavilions, where they were briefed on the latest solutions and advanced technologies offered by specialised companies and institutions in the fields of security, safety, smart systems, artificial intelligence, drones, robots, and modern defence systems, in addition to advanced technologies for protecting facilities and managing airspace.
