Bahrain is set to host the 2027 World Pool Championship, the crown jewel of the World Nineball Tour, it has been announced.
The mega event, offering a $1million prize fund, will take place at Exhibition World Bahrain from April 5 to 10 next year and it will feature the world’s best 128 pool players.
This follows a new multi-year partnership between Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Matchroom Pool, one of the world’s leading organisers and promoters of professional pool.
BTEA CEO Sara Ahmed Buhejji signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Matchroom Multi Sport CEO Emily Frazer for the kingdom to stage the event, in partnership with the Bahrain Billiard Sports and Darts Federation.
