SAMOOM won the Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa traditional rowing race, held as part of the ninth Nasser Bin Hamad Marine Heritage Sports Season.
Led by skipper Ahmed Nasser Al Busmait, Samoom finished first in 12 minutes and 51.85 seconds, followed by Easar One in 13:19.80 and Easar Two in 13:22.63.
Both Easar teams were led by skipper Abdulla Khalifa Al Dhaen. Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth) vice-chairman Ali Fadhel Al Marri crowned the champions. Organised by Mawrooth, the race attracted 250 participants representing 15 teams competing over a 2,500-metre course from Bahrain Bay to Al Sayah
