Riyadh: Eighteen passengers were injured when the train from Riyadh to Dammam derailed, early this morning.
The train was carrying more than 200 passengers when one of the wagons went off the rails near the city of Dammam, according to Sabq.
The injured passengers were taken to the hospital.
An initial inquiry revealed that the train which commutes between the Saudi capital and the Eastern province derailed 10 kms from Dammam station due to torrential rain lashing large parts of Saudi Arabia.
