The Bahrain Food Festival has been extended by almost two weeks after a “tremendous turnout”.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced yesterday that the second edition of the festival, which is being held at Bahrain Bay, will run until March 18.
The festival includes 50 outlets and had originally been intended to run until tomorrow.
“Due to the tremendous turnout we have received during the past few days, we have decided to extend the festival,” said BTEA chief executive Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
“The festival is considered as one of BTEA’s significant events for the year 2017 and aims to attract food enthusiasts from Bahrain and the neighbouring GCC countries.”
The outlets taking part include businesses and concepts related to the food industry such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, nutrition, kitchen appliances and many more.
It is taking place at Bahrain Bay from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays, at Adliya’s Block 338 from 5pm to midnight on weekends and at the Capital Club, which is hosting Mexican Chef Gerrado Lugo.
