A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane burst a front tyre as it was landing at the airport in Bisha, according to Sabq newspaper.
The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said on its twitter account that flight 1733, which took off from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, landed safely.
Passengers were evacuated by ladders and taken to the airport lounge as authorities closed the runway temporarily to enable technicians to tow the aircraft away.
Another flight was diverted from Bisha to Jeddah International Airport.
