Kuwait’s national carrier will start banning electronic devices on flights heading to the US from Thursday.
According to Al Qabas newspaper, Kuwait Airways made the announcement in the wake of the US ban on devices bigger than a smartphone - including iPads, Kindles and laptops.
Under the move, passengers cannot carry large electronic devices like cameras and laptops as cabin baggage under a new Trump administration order today, citing terrorism concerns.
Kuwait Airways said that the ban would affect essentially three transit flights heading to the US through Kuwait International Airport.
Passengers will be allowed to carry medical equipment aboard planes heading to US airports, on the production of medical certificates.
