Dubai: The Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Mosque has been renamed after Mariam, Mother of Prophet Isa.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan issued the directive to rename the mosque, which is located in Al-Mushraf area.
“The move aims at highlighting common human bonds and spiritual values linking all religions”, said UAE Minister of State for Tolerance Shaikha Lubna bint Khalid Al-Qassimi, reported Albayan.
She paid tribute to Shaikh Mohammed for his noble gesture.
