Sohar, Oman: Oman's Mina Al Fahal oil refinery is currently operating at full capacity after a power failure on Sept. 2 forced a brief shutdown of the plant, an official at Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co (ORPIC) said on Tuesday.
"Due to the heavy rain in Muscat (last) Wednesday, half of Al Fahal refinery was shut down because of a power failure," Hilal al-Hinai, general manager of corporate support at ORPIC told Reuters.
"It is fully back to operations now."
The Mina Al Fahal refinery has a processing capacity of 106,000 barrels per day, according to Reuters data. Including the Sohar refinery, ORPIC has total refining capacity of 220,000 bpd, according to its website.
