As an American in Bahrain I’m used to the criticism directed at my country due to its policies in the Middle East.
However, the true test of Donald Trump’s leadership will not come on the battlefields of Iraq, Syria or Afghanistan, but in the streets of Texas following the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, which the GDN rightly called a ‘1,000-year flood’, (GDN, August 29) .
