Onny Martin won the Ma’a Salama Cup, a once-off competition, held at Awali Golf Club prior to the flight to retirement in France by the competition’s sponsors Bill Scarth and Nicki Park.
Martin took 40 points while runner-up Nevil Malao and third-placed Les Young had 39. The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh places went to Madeleine Doporto with 38, Sarah Hobday with 37, Rashed Ahmed Abdulla with 37 and Serwin Rampersad with 37 respectively.
Rounding out the vast field of winners were eighth, ninth and tenth place winners Jelmer Hoff with 37, Richard Pawson with 36, and Yong Back Kim with 36 respectively.
Captain Paul Anderson later presented Bill with a commemorative plaque in recognition of his service on the committee.
