ELDAR Eldarov made a successful return to the cage securing a unanimous victory over Brian Hooi in three rounds on Friday night at the Brave 12: KHK Legacy in Jakarta.
Eldarov is also the coach of Bahrain National Amateur Mixed Martial Arts team and was returning to the cage after a year of absence.
It was the largest major global mixed martial arts event in Indonesia and it was held under the initiative of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The fight night featured 24 athletes from 15 nationalities competing which included KHK MMA Bahrain fighters Gamzat Magomedov, Marat Magomedov and Akhmat Magomedov.
All three of them surprised their opponents with their wrestling skills to secure impressive victories.
Unanimous
In the co-main event, Jarrah Al-Selawe secured an unanimous decision over Tahar Hadbi. Mehdi Baghdad was overwhelmed by Pawel Kielek in a fight that went the full distance.
Mafra gave up the fight on a verbal submission, declaring Gaziev the winner.
Local star Vincent Majid dominated three rounds to win the bout unanimously while Bahrain’s superstar Hamza Kooheji was submitted by Khalid Taha in the second round.
The fight night also showcased the debut of Bahrain’s IMMAF medalist Hussain Ayyad, who scored a TKO victory over Jomar Pa-ac from Team Lakay in the Philippines.
Seven out of the 12 fights went the distance for judges to determine the outcome.
Brave Combat Federation 13th event will be in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on June 9.
