MANAMA: Sinnad, a leading card processing service provider, has received a payments processing licence from Visa, a leader in digital payments, which, the former said, will support its vision to expand into Bahrain as a payments service provider, and support local and regional markets by utilising the new and fully integrated programme.
Describing the licence as a major milestone in Sinnad’s strategic expansion plan, the company’s general manager Rana Almaeeli said it would now be able to “better cater to banks’ needs through a wide variety of services”.
“Visa is one of Sinnad’s main offerings, and we have always aimed to diversify our services by adopting international schemes. We look forward to utilising this licence to its full capacity.”
According to Visa general manager for Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman Shashank Singh, third party payment processors are an important part of the payments ecosystem, helping financial institutions with a wide array of transaction processing services and providing speed and agility to their processing capabilities.
“Sinnad provides state-of-the-art solutions in cards processing to banks across the MEA region and will continue offering high-quality deliverables that cater to the needs of the business community.”
