Dubai: ‘Person of the month’ award established by the Dubai-based Emarat Alyoum Arabic newspaper has been awarded to Nujoum Al Ghanim, an Emirati female poet, film director and writer.
The award recognises her creativity and contributions to art, poetry and film industry in UAE and other countries. She won the award for December.
Ghanim was a recipient of the prestigious prize because of her valuable contributions to poetry and film industry in the region, reported Emirates247.
“She also attended many poetry festivals in the UAE, the Arab region and other countries and translated poems to several languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Urdu,” Emarat Alyoum’s editor in chief Sami Al Riyami said.
“She a symbol of creativity that has boosted the image of the UAE in many cultural events worldwide,” he added.
