Riyadh: An Omani plane was finally allowed to land at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Al-Salam Air plane took off from Muscat International Airport yesterday and arrived at its destination as scheduled.
The plane had returned to Muscat last Saturday, with 155 passengers on board, after it was denied entry into Saudi airspace, said Al-Salam Air Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Ahmed.
“The flight made returned because some information related to passengers’ historical data from previous flights, and which are normally transmitted automatically between the airline’s system and the authorities’ system, were missing”, said Mr Ahmed.
He said in a statement that Al Salam Air flights are now cleared to fly to their Saudi destinations according to their scheduled times, reiterating the airline's commitment to complying with all regulations and the highest standards of aviation practices.
