South Indian actress Vishnupriya Ramachandran Pillai tied the knot with Vinay Vijayan, son of director-producer East Coast Vijayan. The wedding ceremony took place at Alappuzha, in the south Indian state of Kerala, on June 20.
Born and brought up in Bahrain Vishnupriya, a former student of Indian School Bahrain, is a talented dancer and has won many awards in contests on the island.
Relatives and close friends of the bride and groom attended the wedding. A reception will be held at Al-Saj International Convention Centre in Thiruvananthapuram on June 29.
Vishnupriya made her acting debut in Malayalam films through the Dileep-starrer ‘Speed Track’ in 2007. Later, she acted in ‘Keralolsavam’ and ‘Penpattanam’. She has also acted in a Tamil movie ‘Nanga’.
Vishnupriya has appeared in a music video broadcast on the Asianet channel which was directed by her elder brother and movie-enthusiast, Deepu Ramachandran, also a former student of the Indian School in Bahrain.
She is trained in classical Indian dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi.
