The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) will be present at the 2016 Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) at Sakhir airbase.
The fourth edition of the event is scheduled to take place from today until Saturday.
The committee will have its own booth offering booklets and other publications on the programmes, activities and achievement of BOC.
The booth will also promote the third edition of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sport, in addition to highlighting its conditions, criteria and goals.
BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Sadeq Askar said the committee’s involvement at the BIAS 2016 is in line with its strategy to activate community partnership with various government and private parties.
BIAS 2016 will offer its public visitors a festival of fun including daily flying displays that will provide up to four hours of spectacular aerial entertainment.
Some of the confirmed display teams that will be flying high include the Hawks from Saudi Arabia, the UAE’s Al Fursan, the Russian Knights and solo aerobatics from Mark Jefferies and the SWIP Twister display team who are set to thrill visitors with their amazing night-time display.
The action and speed in the sky will be complemented by a host of on-ground attractions, dining options and entertainment.
The public area entertainment will start at 10am and run until 6pm during the three days. Entry to the public area can be accessed via Bahrain International Circuit. Tickets for the event, which includes an area open to the public, are available at all Batelco Retail Shops.
