Google added a new tool called the 'Mic Drop' button on Gmail today as an April Fools' joke.
If one clicks on the orange 'Send' button besides the regular 'Send' button, they will get to have the last word in the conversation, literally.
A gif of a minion dropping a mic is sent to the recipient and it ends the email thread forever by muting all future replies to the sender.
This has cost many people their jobs, reported The Telegraph.
This feature was taken down after users reacted with anger instead of amusement.
These were the reactions to the feature.

Hey @gmail, I think you guys just ruined my chances at getting a job with your mic drop "prank." My fat fingers hit the button.
