The Education Ministry has suspended classes in all public and private schools, along with kindergartens, for two weeks amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
Based on the directives of the Coordinating Committee headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the ministry said education will be suspended starting tomorrow as a precautionary measure.
It said the move was to ensure the safety of students as part of precautions taken to reduce the spread of the virus.
It comes as Bahrain has recorded a total of 17 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with all of them detected after returning from Iran via Dubai and Sharjah.
