Saudi Arabia has decided to temporarily suspend flights to countries currently facing the threat of the spread of COVID19, said a report.
According to an official source at the Ministry of Interior, the kingdom has decided to suspend flights to the European countries, Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Sudan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Eritrea, Kenya, Djibouti, and Somalia, said a report in Saudi Press Agency.
The source also said that border crossings with Jordan would also be closed, but open for goods and humanitarian and exceptional cases.
Citizens and those with valid residency wishing to return to the kingdom have a 72-hour period to return.
Furthermore, the suspension decision exempts medical workers from India and the Philippines, the report said.
