As an exiled Brit in Bahrain, I am appalled by what politicians are doing to my country.
In my lifetime I have seen a nation that once governed an empire, and manufactured everything from cutlery to great ocean liners, reduced to little more than satellite of the bureaucrats of Brussels: and when they say jump, our government asks, how high?
Over the years, various governments have sold the family jewels for short-term expediency and allowed great names in British manufacturing to be bought by foreign companies .
