A senior MP has tried to calm tempers after people expressed outrage over reported plans to increase monthly pension cuts and reduce retirement benefits saying they were just ideas.
Parliament services committee chairman Mamdooh Al Saleh said the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO) was discussing various options in its Monday meeting that also included raising the age criteria and ending the three per cent annual increase to pensions .
