Riyadh: Saudi Health Ministry has launched the first phase of its online healthy marriage service at government health facilities across the kingdom.
The service, which aims to automate all test procedures in the country, starts with entering the necessary data and organising educational sessions for the couple, SPA reported.
They would then complete tests and upload the information on the “Seha” (Health) platform to match test results, the ministry said.
A text message is then sent with the approved health certificate number to the compatible parties so they can view the results through the Sehhaty application or the “Seha” platform.
In the occasion that the two parties are incompatible, they will then be referred to governmental advisory clinics, and the Justice Ministry is enabled to inquire about healthy marriage certificates to complete the marriage contract procedures.
The premarital examination service seeks to placate couples and ensure their harmony.
The special certificate is valid for six months and tests can be repeated only in the case of infectious diseases.
