Muscat: Oman's Supreme Committee has announced that it has no plans for an internal lockdown after it closed its borders for one week starting today in the wake of a new coronavirus strain.
“There are no indications or a need to close any part of the Sultanate," Dr Ahmed Al Saidi said in an interview with Oman TV
"Epidemiological surveillance is in place, and if the Supreme Committee decides that there will be a future closure in the Sultanate, it will be in limited places.”
