His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has achieved second place in the 160km race which was held as part of Khalid bin Hamad Cup, held at Bahrain International Endurance Village.
Shaikh Nasser completed the race in 7 hours, 45 minutes and 37 seconds, while Fahad Hilal Al Khateri of the Victorious team came first in 7 hours, 20 minutes and 11 seconds, and his teammate Jaffar Mirza finished third in 7 hours, 45 minutes and 42 seconds.
Shaikh Nasser underlined that the 160km race of Khalid bin Hamad Cup featured fierce competition among all participants who gave their best to win the race. He said the event was a great success thanks to the performances in the 120km and 160km races.
He pointed out that the next stage will require more efforts as Bahrain will compete in the World Endurance Championship in Italy.
He also hailed the tremendous efforts of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation under the presidency of Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. He congratulated Al Khateri on the victory.
