A proposal to launch a national campaign under the government to collect cash donations for Covid-19 front-line workers has been presented today.
The proposal presented by five MPs, is spearheaded by Ebrahim Al Nefaei.
He believes that front-liners are risking their lives for the community and working above and beyond their call of duty.
"A national campaign to collect cash for front-liners is the least we can do to show our appreciation," he said.
The mechanics of the collection and how the gifts would be distributed have not been announced.
