His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa issued an edict ending the work of the SCYS-run co-ordination, execution and follow-up committee (Estijaba).
As per the edict, all the committee’s sport programmes will be referred to the newly-established General Sport Authority (GSA) and implemented by its board of directors under the supervision of its chairman.
The edicts forming and restructuring Estijaba have also been repealed.
