Manama: His Majesty King Hamad has praised unprecedented high levels of relations between Bahrain and the UAE.
He was speaking as he met Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Safriya Palace.
Shaikh Mohammed conveyed to the King greetings of UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayhan. His Majesty conveyed his greetings to the UAE President, as well as his wishes of further progress and prosperity to UAE.
He expressed pride in the UAE’s firm supportive stances towards Bahrain at all levels, praising constant co-ordination, similar ambitious policies, common visions to safeguard security and stability, protect maritime navigation from any potential threats, and resolve to carry on their progress march.
The King stressed the pivotal role played by the UAE to strengthen security and stability in the region and the world, highlighting its unwavering commitment to brotherly and neighbouring countries to fend off dangers and its constant support for development plans. He also affirmed its pioneering role in promoting peace and prosperity.
He lauded development strides currently witnessed by the UAE, citing its advanced programmes in developing atomic energy, space sciences, medical sciences, sustainable energy and other fields, which prove its advanced civilisational position. He pointed out the UAE’s contribution to serving humanity, “which is a source of pride for Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the world”.
Earlier, His Majesty welcomed Shaikh Mohammed upon arrival in the kingdom on a brotherly visit. He hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.
Shaikh Mohammed was seen off by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
