A WOMAN confronted her husband in court, telling judges that he stole BD1,800 from her bank account while he said she had forgotten about withdrawing the money.
The 36-year-old Bahraini filed a case against her bank employee husband, accusing him of withdrawing the cash from her bank account without her knowledge.
She said that she had asked him to transfer money from her mother’s bank account to her bank account but later realised that he had withdrawn BD1,800 from her bank account.
“I know that he took my money from my bank account,” she told a leading judge at the High Criminal Court.
The trial has been adjourned until Monday for review.
The woman claimed that her husband used his position as the bank teller to fraudulently take money from her bank account.
The 37-year-old Bahraini defendant has denied theft charges in court.
He claimed that his wife had filed a false complaint against him because problems cropped up in their marriage after he found out that her colleague was sending her pornographic videos and he had confronted her.
