FOUR men have appeared in court in connection with allegedly being part of a drug dealing ring.
Three Indians and a Pakistani, whose ages range from 30 to 40, denied selling narcotics at the High Criminal Court.
The men are said to have sold large amounts of heroin in the country according to court documents. They were apprehended following information provided by sources.
The three Indian expatriates then helped police arrest the Pakistani, 30, who agreed to sell BD140 worth of the drug to an undercover agent in Manama in July.
“We arrested three people who use drugs,” the Bahraini officer told prosecutors. “They told us that a man nicknamed ‘Ghulami’ sold them drugs and they then started working for him and helped him in selling heroin in Bahrain.
“An undercover agent then phoned him and he (Ghulami) agreed to sell BD140 worth of heroin to him. We arrested him red-handed.”
The trail has been adjourned until next Wednesday for review.
