Fine food, great conversation and a buzzing ambience are simple pleasures that the world is relishing in a whole new way.
With its finger ever on the pulse, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay opened its reimagined re/Asian Cuisine restaurant as part of a new 50th floor dining concept complete with a Japanese-inspired Sushi Lounge.
Fuelled by the unique creativity of celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, re/Asian Cuisine’s reputation has been built on its refreshingly modern take on traditional Asian cuisine.
Continuing this legacy, the new Sushi Lounge – flowing directly into re/’s original restaurant – offers a levelled-up Asian dining experience with views and vibe to match.
Playing to a neutral palette of warm earthy tones, the setting reflects the minimalist Japanese aesthetic and allows the true stars to shine: the expert chefs behind the raw-edge wooden sushi counter creating vibrant box-pressed oshizushi (pressed) sushi to order.
Simple furniture and statement pieces translate the understated beauty of Nippon design while light, airy interiors are punctuated by the dark sultry tones of Asian macassar ebony columns and walls clad in vertical Japanese-style oak timber slats.
Comfy sofa seating, handcrafted cocktails and trendy beats complete the high-rise, high-energy appeal.
“Our chefs are loving the opportunity to be a central part of re/Asian Cuisine’s new vision, showcasing their skills in person, and contributing to the restaurant’s new buzz,” said Brian Becher, Executive Chef of the hotel’s Wolfgang Puck outlets.
“And, in true Wolfgang Puck style, we’re taking the traditional wooden-moulded oshizushi to new levels of art and ingenuity.”
The restaurant’s revamped menu promises a range of tantalising dishes for guests to experience including Sichuan spinach with sesame brittle and chili oil; and tare glazed eggplant salad with Japanese pickles and citrus vinaigrette.
Other new taste sensations include the introduction of Los Angeles’ popular vegetable-based sushi, while returning guests will also be pleased to revisit some old favourites beyond the Sushi Lounge.
Completing the experience, the pre- and post-dinner hotspot of the adjacent Blue Moon Lounge will be reopening on the same date.
“Now more than ever, the focus is on relishing life’s pleasures,” said Regional Vice President and General Manager Rami Sayess.
“The revamped re/Asian Cuisine restaurant is a celebration of creativity and connectivity, two things we hold dear here at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
“Just hearing the buzz of guests laughing and chatting with our chefs, savouring good food and flowing between the three spaces – those are the things we’re really looking forward to.”
