Abu Dhabi: A huge fire broke out in six warehouses in industrial zone in the Emirate of Ajman.
Civil Defence firefighting units managed to contain the fire within 40 minutes, reported local Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.
Public Relations Chief Colonel Nasser Al-Zarri said that that the fire was doused without causing any damages except material damage.
Sharjah and Umm Al-Quwain firefighting units also arrived within time and helped limit the damage.
An enquiry is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Al-Zarri urged owners of warehouses to undertake the necessary routine checkup of equipment, particularly fire alarms and electrical cables.
