A COLLECTIVE of five Indian and Filipino artists is coming together to highlight their interpretations of abstract and realistic art, at an exhibition set to kick off this weekend.
The ‘Interpretations ‘21’ art show will be unveiled this Saturday at the Bahrain Financial Harbour.
It will feature works by artists who have a unique perspective on the world and the events of the last couple of years.
“The idea behind this exhibition was to highlight the different methodologies and perspectives on the world around us,” co-organiser and artist Sudeep Deshpande, 41, told the GDN.
The exhibition, which runs until November 19, will include art pieces by Bahrain-based Indian artists Anil Sharma, 46, Shubo Sarkar, 67 and Mr Deshpande as well as Filipino artists Jie Refugio, 43 and Rudy Perey.
It will be inaugurated by dignitaries including noted Bahraini artist Abbas Almosawi and approximately 40 pieces will be available for public viewing.
