How can we convince people to keep our beaches clean?
Have strict security on every beach. Place more dustbins; I hardly see any. Charge offenders on the spot.
@lilbobeep_bh
Massive, aggressive and shocking awareness campaigns are needed with advertising on Bahrain TV! Make a special squad in police to eradicate the matter with fines for people who leave their garbage after their picnic in the parks or on the beach in the same way they did when people were not wearing face masks during the pandemic. Introduce a BD20 fine for throwing garbage! It will work if it is taken seriously, same as when we had to wear a mask.
@chachlarage
Avoid single-use plastics. If we don’t cut our reliance on plastic, we’ll never keep it out of the oceans.
Choose reusable products.
Never litter.
Clean up the beach.
Give your support.
@fahad_yusuf23
Heavy fines and then they will start counting how much money the government is making on trash throwers ... we will become richer!
@khaleejrose
Educate people. Reduce, reuse and recycle the things you take to the beach. Pack food and beverages in reusable containers whenever possible. This helps minimise the amount of trash that is brought to the beach and reduces the potential for it to end up in the ocean.
@olivakatie_23
Bring in only educated people. Stop bringing in uneducated people.
@m.h740000
Fine them BD10 and throw what they threw on the floor back in their faces. Definitely the most peaceful way to tackle the situation.
@kiantheslayer101
Fines for littering. You don’t see a single piece of trash in Singapore! Hit people in their pockets. Ridiculous in this day and age to be so filthy!
@debbieal
Plastic packing products should not be allowed on beaches, only paper packing products should be allowed.
Pawankumarsingh
Keep bins all over the beach and place DO NOT LITTER notices.

Place dustbins, posters about clean environment, employ people to watch the beaches and punish violators with a week of community service.
Rahima Ara Sangcad
The best way is to spread awareness. We organise conferences and seminars but the people attending these kinds of events already know the importance of beach cleaning. We have to educate the common people. The best way is to hold talks at religious centres and show messages on screens at the entrances of shopping malls.
Iftikhar Ahmad
Drones! Penalise them! Jail them! Harsh treatment is the only solution!
Michelle D’Silva
Make people clean up as a penalty (community service) for petty crimes as is done in the US. It might not make them care more but there are plenty of offenders so the beaches should stay reasonably tidy.
Lee Ann Fleetwood
We can keep the beaches clean by putting in place visible dustbins.
Mukiibi Ali
I suggest that they keep a person at the beach entrance and give all vehicles going inside the area a pass. When all the vehicles exit they return the pass along with their collected garbage. I suggest this because most of them don’t know how to use a bin.
