A senior MP walked out of Parliament’s session today as it was voting on reforms to pensions funds.
Legislative and legal affairs committee chairman Fadhel Al Sawad accused Speaker Fouzia Zainal of tampering with members' votes to push ahead with the reforms. Ms Zainal refuted the claim.
"There are members online and they don't appear on screen and their votes make a difference and there is no tampering," she said.
"Walk out or stay, it is your personal call, we are determined to continue our representative duties," she added.
